Statewide Resources:
- Find Housing - NVHousingSearch.org - is an online tool offered by the Nevada Housing Division to find affordable housing properties in Nevada, with filters for individuals with Section 8, who are Veterans, or low-income.
- Down Payment Assistance - Home is Possible (HIP) For First-Time Homebuyers offers is a program of the Nevada Housing Division which provides interest-free down-payment assistance with competitive interest rates to give buyers more buying power. Must meet program requirements to qualify.
Clark County:
- Affordable Housing - Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority offers several programs including vouchers (Section 8) and public housing programs for low-to-moderate-income families, individuals, seniors and persons with disabilities.
- Affordable Housing - Nevada HAND is a nonprofit organization that develops, owns, and manages affordable housing properties for low income seniors and working families in Clark County.
- Case Management - Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada's Housing Navigation Center offers individualized case management to individuals, families, and those who are in need of resources for sustainable permanent housing.
- Financial Assistance - HopeLink of Southern Nevada provides case management and financial assistance programs (when funds are available), as well as emergency shelter and supportive housing.
Washoe/Northern Nevada:
- Affordable Housing - Reno Housing Authority (RHA) offers several programs including vouchers (Section 8) and public housing programs for low-to-moderate-income families, individuals, seniors and persons with disabilities.
- Affordable Housing - Northern Nevada Community Housing is a nonprofit organization that develops, owns, and manages affordable housing properties in Washoe County and Carson City.
- Case Management - Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada's St. Marguerite Support Services offers individualized case management to help families and individual meet basic needs, including housing.
- Emergency Shelter - Our Place Shelter, operated by Volunteers of America, provides emergency shelter and supportive services for women and families experiencing homelessness in Reno. Located on a 20-acre campus, they offer a safe, secure environment where women, families, and senior women can access temporary housing while working toward permanent housing solutions.
- Substance Use Residential - Step 2 operates the Redfield Residential Facility offering family-oriented services for women, including trauma-informed group and individual therapy, wraparound services, medial care referrals, child care assistance, and more.
Rural Nevada:
- Affordable Housing - Nevada Rural Housing offers several programs including vouchers (Section 8) and public housing programs for low-to-moderate income families, individuals, seniors and persons with disabilities in all rural counties and rural areas of Clark and Washoe counties.
- Emergency Shelter & Transitional Housing - Friends in Service Helping (FISH) offers emergency shelter for individuals and families facing homelessness, as well as transitional housing for clients working toward long-term independence.
- Down Payment Assistance, Home Rehabilitation & Weatherization - Rural Nevada Development Corporation's housing initiatives include down payment assistance, home rehabilitation, and weatherization to help homes become more energy efficient to ensure that low- and moderate-income families can access safe and healthy housing.
- Affordable Housing (Elko) - Vitality Unlimited is a behavioral healthcare, housing and community service organization. Their affordable housing program for families include one multi-family unit and several modular homes.
