Rural Medicaid: Changes are Coming!

In 2024 Nevada Medicaid surveyed rural Nevadans on how to improve services and found that rural members want:

Medicaid responded. New health plans are coming to rural Nevada. 

The plans will be held to appointment standards, be rewarded for offering preventative health services that improve outcomes, and use their resources to bring more health care options to rural areas. 

Starting this fall, some rural Nevadans will need to keep an eye out for letters from the health plans.

What is Managed Care?

Managed Care health plans are like a team of doctors, nurses, and coaches on your side. The health plans share the latest information with you to pick the best players (doctors and treatments). They also get advice from experts to make sure everything is done at the right time and place for the best outcome for your health. You will have a big team to work with to keep you healthy and in the game.
