Great news for Nevada families: Nevada Ready! Pre-K is expanding access, making it easier for more children to participate in high-quality early learning programs statewide.
Nevada Ready! Pre-K offers free or low-cost preschool opportunities for eligible 4-year-olds, helping children build the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. With updated eligibility guidance, more families may now qualify than ever before.
Who Is Eligible?

Choosing child care is one of the biggest decisions families make during their child’s early years. Nevada Silver State Stars Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), supported by The Children’s Cabinet gives families helpful tools to make informed decisions about early learning programs while also supporting child care providers in improving the quality of care they provide. Together, these efforts help create better outcomes for children and families across Nevada.
Each spring, families across the country come together to say “thank you” during Child Care Provider Appreciation Day, an annual celebration recognizing the essential work of child care providers and early childhood educators.
This national day of action highlights just how essential child care is—not only for young children and their families, but for our entire economy. A Day Without Child Care brings visibility to these challenges and calls for solutions that support children, families and the people who care for them.
