June 2026 Community Events and Trainings

Partners throughout the state host a variety of community events and trainings designed to engage families, provide valuable resources, and promote early childhood development. From workshops and educational sessions to fun, interactive activities for kids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! 

All of the events and trainings provided below are offered at no cost to participants. We also offer online courses. Some partners offer additional trainings which may charge a fee to participants. Monday, June 1st

• The Children’s Cabinet –Circle of Security Parenting #1  – 9:30 am to 11:00 am

• Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. For parents and caretakers of children 4 months-6 years, you will learn to better understand your child’s emotional needs, support their ability to manage emotions, enhance the development of their self-esteem, and honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure.

Tuesday, June 2nd 

• The Children’s Cabinet – Cribs for Kids – 10:00 am to 11:30 am
• Location – LAS VEGAS–The Children’s Cabinet –5905 South Decatur Blvd. Suite #13 Las Vegas, NV 89118
• An hour-and-a-half parenting/caregiver class on the importance of safe sleep practices to reduce the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Deaths (SUID) which include SIDS and other preventable deaths, like suffocation and strangulation, in bed. Participants will enhance their safe sleep education for the infant in their lives.

• The Children’s Cabinet – I'm Ready for K!  – 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
• Location – LAS VEGAS–Alexander Library –1755 W Alexander Road, North Las Vegas, NV
• I'm Ready for K Sessions are designed for children ages 3-5 years old with the primary aim of teaching social, emotional, and academic skills needed for pre-K and Kindergarten readiness, while providing an opportunity for positive parent-child interaction and strengthening the parent-child relationship.

Thursday, June 4th

• The Children’s Cabinet –Soluciones Positivas Para Familias: Enséñame qué Hacer – 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
• Location – LAS VEGAS–Consulado de Mexico –823 South 6th Street Las Vegas, NV 89101
• Las sesiones de Soluciones Positivas Para Familias están diseñadas para ayudar a los padres a estimular las habilidades sociales y emocionales de sus hijos, comprender sus comportamientos desafiantes y utilizar enfoques positivos para ayudarles a aprender conductas apropiadas. Cada sesión proporcionará a los padres información general sobre estrategias clave que pueden aplicarse con todos los niños.

• The Children’s Cabinet provides a free 1.5-hour STEM class where participants (parents and children) will engage in several STEM activities and experiments. ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS: Parents of children ages 3-5.
