Nevada Ready! Pre-K Application

The Nevada Ready! Pre-K Common Application System is now available!

One application to apply for participating Nevada Ready! Pre-K programs throughout the state. You can select from public school, child care, charter school, and community-based program options in this simple application!

This new application will be available to apply to most of the programs that receive grants from the Nevada Department of Education to offer NO COST PreK to children who are age 4 by August 1st of the current school year. This includes public schools, child care centers, charter schools and other community-based organizations. 

Important information to know before you complete the application: 

  • Some public schools have chosen not to participate in this new online application. If your public school is not participating in this application process, you will be provided with information and links, as applicable, to apply using their application process. The list of districts not currently participating include:
    • Carson City School District
    • Clark County School District
    • Lander County School District
    • Lyon County School District
    • Pershing County School District
    • Washoe County School District
    • White Pine County School District

  • Charter schools are required by law to conduct a lottery prior to enrolling students in their programs. If you are interested in participating in a charter school Pre-K program, you may still complete the application, but you will also need to complete the lottery application for the selected charter school(s). Links to the selected charter school(s) lottery will be provided once you submit the application.

  • The questions in this application align with the new, expanded eligibility requirements for the Nevada Ready! Pre-K program, as determined by the Nevada Legislature in 2025. Click here to learn more about the new eligibility criteria to see if you may qualify.

  • Submitting the application does not enroll you in a program. You will be contacted about the enrollment process, including documentation needed to determine eligibility. You will also received an email confirmation with the contacts for each program you select during the application process.

  • Transportation services are not included in the Nevada Ready! Pre-K program. You will be responsible for transporting your child to and from the facility daily, if enrolled in a Pre-K program.
