Nevada COMPASS

Nevada COMPASS is a free mobile app and website managed by the Nevada Department of Education (NDE), created to support students and families experiencing housing instability. Developed in alignment with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, the app helps ensure that all children have access to education and essential supports, even during times of uncertainty.

Nevada COMPASS connects families to important local resources that can help meet everyday needs and reduce barriers to school success.

What Nevada COMPASS Offers

Easy access to community resources such as housing, food, healthcare, and mental health services
Support for school enrollment and educational continuity
Location-based tools to find nearby services quickly

Why It Matters

When families can access the support they need, children are better able to attend school consistently and focus on learning. Nevada COMPASS helps:
