Do you have a child care story to share?
A coalition of organizations in Nevada are working to improve access to quality, affordable child care in Nevada. We are currently collecting stories from families and child care providers who have been impacted by changes to Nevada's Child Care Subsidy Program (financial assistance program for child care) or who want to share stories related to accessing child care in Nevada.
We will be collecting these stories to share with key decision-makers so they understand the importance of having access to quality child care programs that are affordable for families, as well as the supports that providers need to offer quality care.
We will not share your name or contact information without your consent.

New Opportunity!! Share your thoughts with the Nevada Early Childhood Advisory Council
The Nevada ECAC acts as a voice for families of young children 0-8 years old. As they begin to develop their 3-year strategic plan to later share with the Governor’s Office and state agencies, they are requesting your thoughts and ideas on issues you may face as a parent, family member, or local community member within Nevada's Early Childhood System. The goal is to coordinate and align early childhood services for easier, accessible programs and services for all of Nevada's families. Your input can help to ensure the Strategic Plan reflects Nevada's families and local communities' real-life needs.

Transitions are difficult for children and families, and can be particularly challenging if your child has complex medical or developmental needs. To help make communication easier between families and their student's education team, the Nevada Department of Education has developed an easy-to-use tool, the Student Success Plan (SSP).
Raising young children is both rewarding and challenging. To help families navigate these early years, The Children’s Cabinet offers free Parenting Classes and Provider Education Workshops designed to give parents, caregivers, and early childhood professionals the tools they need to help Nevada’s youngest children thrive.
Friendships play an important role in a young child’s growth. Even toddlers and preschoolers can learn how to connect with others and solve problems in order to be a good friend.
