When school is out, many families face a new challenge - making sure children continue to receive healthy, nutritious meals every day. That’s where Nevada’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) steps in.

Designed to support families and keep kids fueled for fun and learning, this program offers free meals to children and teens across the state all summer long.

What is the Nevada Summer Meals Program?

The Nevada Summer Meals Program, highlighted at nvsummermeals.com, is part of a federally funded initiative that ensures children have access to nutritious food when school cafeterias close for the summer. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Nevada Department of Agriculture.

Through this program, children and teens can receive up to two free meals each day, or a combination of meals and snacks, depending on the site.

Who Can Participate?

Great news for families—this program is open to all children and teens 18 years old and younger in eligible communities. There is:

That means families can simply show up and enjoy healthy meals in a welcoming environment.

Where Are Meals Served?

Summer meals are available in many convenient, family-friendly locations where children already gather, including:

Many sites also offer fun, enriching activities alongside meals - giving children a safe and engaging place to spend part of their day.

How Families Can Find Meal Sites

Finding a nearby meal site is easy:

You can search by zip code, city or neighborhood to find the closest location, along with serving times and details.

Why Summer Meals Matter

For many children, school meals are a primary source of daily nutrition during the year. When school ends, that reliable access can disappear. Programs like SFSP help bridge that gap - ensuring kids stay healthy, active and ready to learn.

Nutritious meals support growing bodies and minds, and just as importantly, they help reduce stress for families during the summer months.

This summer, help your child stay nourished, active and ready for the year ahead.

Visit nvsummermeals.com today to find a free meal site near you—and spread the word so every child in Nevada has a healthy summer.
