Great news for Nevada families! First 5 Nevada has added several new programs and resources to its website, making it easier than ever for parents and caregivers to find the resources they need! We have also updated a few programs to provide more up-to-date information. See below for additional details.
New Resources:
Three Square (Southern Nevada) – Food Pantries
Three Square serves residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties with food resources. They work with community partners to support food distribution in your local community. This resource provides information on how to find a local pantry, learn about food distribution schedules and more.
SNAP-EBT at the Market allows SNAP customers to use their EBT SNAP benefits at eligible farmers markets in Nevada. Eligible markets must be licensed by the Food and Nutrition Service. There is also a "Double Up Food Bucks" program which will match SNAP benefits at eligible farmer's markets, allowing you to double the amount of fresh fruits and vegetables you can purchase.
Maternal Mental Health Hotline
Get help with maternal depression and other mental health needs. Accessible by phone or text in English and Spanish.
Count the Kicks® is a FREE app to help monitor your baby’s movement in the third trimester of pregnancy. The program makes it easy to become familiar with your baby’s normal movement patterns and feel empowered to contact your healthcare provider right away if there is a change in what’s normal for your baby.
New and Updated Programs:
Common Sense Parenting – Boys Town Nevada
Classes designed to balance discipline with affection to help parents navigate their children's behavior.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
This is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. The program is now available statewide in Nevada!
Child Care Subsidy – Las Vegas Urban League
Effective July 1, 2025, the Las Vegas Urban League will no longer administer the Child Care Subsidy and Child Care Resource & Referral Services for Southern Nevada. Click here for additional information on the Child Care Subsidy program.
