Your experiences can show lawmakers what families really need to help their children thrive. We will give you the tools and confidence to share your real-life story, write letters, and speak up directly to the leaders who make big decisions for our community.

5 Steps to Champion the First 5 Years:
Discover how young brains grow and learn how you can support early childhood development through Vroom®.
Vroom makes the science of early learning simple! Remember these five actions to help build your child's brain anytime.
Training sessions will help you connect brain science and advocacy to empower everyday brain builders. Using Vroom’s framework, participants explore how daily interactions shape brain development, how what happens in our communities affects families, and how personal stories can help create change.
Registered participants will receive lunch, child care (limited space available), and a $50 gift card after completion of the training.*

Participants who complete one of the regional trainings will have an opportunity to join our workshops to help you draft your personal story and send it to your representative to advocate for the issues that are most important to you and your family!
Receive one-on-one support, technical assistance and resources to use your voice to improve services in Nevada for your family and others.
Additional information on workshops will be provided during the trainings.
Nevada Children's Week at the Legislature is scheduled for Monday, March 29th to Wednesday, March 31st during the 2027 Legislative Session. Select participants will have the opportunity to take part in fun events, connect with other parents and organizations, and make your voice heard!
Travel expenses will be covered for up to 10 advocates. You must complete the training to be eligible for travel expenses and stipend.

Join Child Care Aware of America at their annual conference in Washington, D.C. in May 2027! Meet other advocates from across the country, learn about federal policy and have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with members of Nevada's federal delegation.
Travel expenses will be covered for up to 5 advocates who have completed a training and participated in other activities above. Additional information on this opportunity, including how to sign up, will be provided to individuals who complete the training.
